There is a side to being a pregnant woman that many don’t understand. She endures questions about her pregnancy, which she will usually happily answer, and even the hands of strangers feeling her stomach. People are very focused on the new life growing within her, and that is to be expected, but many forget about a woman who may be going through one of the biggest changes in her life.

If this is her first child, she’s going through a major identity change, and as much as a baby may be wanted, this can be a hard thing for any woman. A pregnant woman has a glow that seems to draw others to her. However, even with all of this attention, she may feel lost in the shuffle. When a woman has her first child, she goes from carefree to mom. It can be a hard transition, but no one seems to think about that. She may get a lot of gifts, but those gifts are all for the baby. The pregnant woman is often forgotten.
