LIGHT GREEN HONOR CORDS
More then thirty Honor Groups and Societies, Study Abroad Students, one Student Government organization, and the international club has been accepted for their graduating members to show off particular Honor Cords during Commencement are usually wearing Honor cords. Light Green is one of the honor cords color.
Light Green cords are consisting of pair of cords. The cords are knotted at the collar, two cords drape descending on both side. 60 inches total length of the cords. It has four inches tassels at the end. This cord is made by rayon. Mainly use of this Honor Cords is awarded to the graduating students. Used above all for credit, character realization, and as indicate of attachment or contribution.
There are a few societies that use Light Green cords for University or college graduations. The name of such societies is Sigma Tau Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha etc. The shades of Light Green contains Celadon, Malachite, Moss, Cobalt, Fern, Sap, Terre Vertex, Nile, Sea Green, Pear, Chanteuse, Emerald, Verdigris, Bright Green, Myrtle, Jade, Mint Olive, Light Green, Lime, Spring, Turquoise, Pine, Safe, and Viridian. Schools choose colors depended on colors of school.
Honor society selects color based on the Honor society’s traditional symbols and personal taste. For university symbols of office colors and hoods for graduate’s shades of green are used to specify a degree in Surgical Chiropody, Podiatry, Chiropody and Medicine. Light green honor cords mainly used for degree in Arts. Also Honor societies use Light Green for Physics, Administration, Business, Management and Agricultural. Light green is mainly buying for members of sorority; an honors society.
