Lose Weight in a Week
How to safely lose weight in a
week
If your goal is to lose weight
in a week, it may not be easy, but it's
certainly doable. So you need to lose a few pounds in a hurry?
You've got a party coming up and you need to be able to fit
into that one dress that's perfect for the occasion. The only
trouble is, the dress is a size too small today.
Is there a way to lose the several pounds required to make
that dress fit? One avenue, not recommended, is to simply stop
eating. That may result in the desired weight loss, but your
looks will suffer, making the effort come to naught. The
trick is to do so safely, keeping your nutrition adequate and
your looks intact. Let's see how this mission possible
works.
At the top of your list of things to do should be exercise,
in capital letters! If you're serious about losing weight in a
week, an exercise regimen is your best friend. Cycling,
swimming and running are excellent forms of exercise that
really burn the calories.
If the weather's bad, you can simply use your living room as
your personal sports training ground. You needn't stress your
body by speedy exercises, you just need to do a set number of
stretches, situps or pull-ups.
Push yourself to attain a number you might not have thought
possible. You want to have sweat running down your forehead at
the end of each workout. Set aside time in the morning and
evening to do your exercises without fail. If you want to
lose weight in a
week, it takes discipline. Hey, you can do
it!
While you're making every effort to burn calories - and fat
- you must be sure to eat properly. Cut everything out of your
menus that has the slightest suggestion of fat. No fat allowed.
What you must include is plenty of protein and every vitamin
and mineral you can find.
Veggies and fruit provide fiber and nutrition galore, while
being low in calories. Take a good supplement to be sure you're
getting what your body needs to stay healthy. Pile your salad
plate full of dark greens and your favorite veggies and
seasonings. Go light on dressings. Learn to like olive oil and
vinegar dressings if you don't already enjoy them.
Granted, when you urgently need to lose weight in a week,
it's tempting to get on the scales ten times a day. Resist the
urge. Instead, weigh yourself before you begin your weight loss
program and don't weigh in again for three days.
Stick with your exercise program and keep regular hours of
sleep. When next you weigh in, you'll have results. You'll
surely weigh a few pounds less, encouragement enough to keep
you going and exercising harder than ever.
Yes, you can safely lose
weight in a week. That special dress never
looked better.
