Fast Food Calories
Fast food calories are getting
better!
You've heard the stories about people who ate exclusively at
fast food places, for months on end, gained an enormous amount
of weight and then sued the fast food place for making them
fat. It seems that if you opted in for all those
fast food
calories, you'd notice that your clothes
no longer fit. After a couple of wardrobe renewals, most
people would catch on. Some apparently didn't.
Perhaps we owe these few individuals a thank you. The menu
makers at the fast food places must have taken note and decided
that this sort of publicity wouldn't play well with other
customers. At any rate, now those fast food calories are on the
decline. Don't worry, you can still get most of the fast food
calories you want. However, now you'll also find some recent
additions which are a bit more health-conscious.
For starters, most fast food establishments now use a better
type of oil for those yummy french fries, so you can consume
these tasties with just a shadow of its former guilt
quotient.
As for breakfast, there's an array of new choices for
breakfast on the run, with the contents which are either more
'real', less fatty or both. A healthy breakfast is certainly
better than no breakfast!
Lunch and dinner items now can well be described, loosely,
as health food. Some of these eateries even use organic
ingredients. Salads sport a variety of greens and a choice of
dressings, including low fat types. You can order salads with
roasted chicken or seafood. Very few fast food calories there.
A diet conscious consumer's dream and quite economical.
Sandwich fare includes roasted chicken, flame-broiled fish
and vegan burgers. It's almost like a sandwich your Mom might
fix. You don't have to fix it, bag it or haul it to work. In
addition, you can buy it for less money than it would cost if
you make it yourself. What's not to like?
As well as a reduction in the fast food calories, a new
level of customer service has been added to your visit. During
a recent foray to pick up a fast food burger, I was queried by
the order taker on the various ingredients. What? I was being
allowed to customize my order. “Do you want ketchup? Lettuce?
Onion?” The kid went through the entire litany. What shocked me
was when he asked if I wanted the burger! I burst out laughing.
Couldn't help myself. “Yes, I do want the burger.”
So, you can still visit your favorite fast food joint and
indulge with a little less guilt, or none at all. Besides, if
you go alone, who will know?
