Burger King
I don’t eat at nearly as many fast food restaurants as I
used to. When I worked downtown in a city, I would find myself
there almost every single day because there were four places
within a block of my work.
I should have known better, but at the time, it was
important to get lunch over with as quickly as possible and get
back to work. I rarely eat at them any longer, but when I do, I
seem to have a preference for Burger King now over any
other type.
I guess what I like about Burger King is that the meat seems
to have a better taste than the others. Don’t get me wrong, the
others are just fine, but the taste at Burger King seems to be
the best.
I don’t eat white bread or buns, so I often eat meat patties
without the benefit of other things mingling with the taste and
the quality of the meat. I have found that the great smell you
might notice coming from their restaurant is a lot like how the
burger tastes.
My daughter also seems to have a preference for Burger King,
though she likes all of them for the most part. I don’t take
her often, as I know it’s not good for her, but fast food works
in a pinch when we are away from home, or on those days when I
simply can’t stand the thought of cooking. Thankfully, those
aren’t many. However, if I give her the option of going
somewhere, she always asks for Burger King first, even if
there isn’t one in site.
If you have fast food once in a while like I do, Burger King
is always a great hit with most kids, even if they mistakenly
go up to the window as ask for a Happy Meal. To a child, any
meal that comes with a trinket is the same meal, even though
the packaging might be different.
However, as they age, they will too, like my daughter,
figure out which one they like best. I worry about her eating
fast food sometimes, but at the same time, if it were forbidden
in this day and age, it would only make her want it more. I
have found that by going to Burger King once in a while,
she’s happy, and I don’t have to worry about her going crazy
when she’s old enough to make her own food choices.
